2012 Itinerary
DAY 1: DUBROVNIK – SLANO
EMBARKATION:

Slano : from 4:30 PM
The picturesque coastal village of Slano is situated 27 kilometers northwest of Dubrovnik.
Ston area is widely known for salt production as well as for the cultivation of oysters and mussels. The town of Ston itself is also one of the first settlements in Europe ever that were urbanistically planned out. What sets Ston apart are its 5 km long town walls, impressive by their size and monumentality.
The Dalmatian gourmet welcome dinner will be served on your first cruise evening. Excursion : Ston sightseeing

DAY 2: SLANO – TRSTENIK – KORCULA
Trstenik is one of the oldest settlements of the Peljesac peninsula. It’s beautiful bays and beaches, the crystal clear sea and pine forests make it a favorite holiday spot to many tourists seeking peace and quiet blending with nature. Trstenik is also known as a home of Grgic Vina Winery that was founded by Napa Valley winemaker Mike Grgich, a Croatian emigre, in 1958. Grgich, who earned international fame as the winemaker at Calistoga's Chateau Montelena, founded his own Grgich Hills winery in Rutherford in 1971.

The next port to visit will be Korcula Island. Visit to the town of Korcula that gave birth to the most famous world traveler will overwhelm you with whispers of the past. Korcula still treasures memory of Marco Polo. His house, the vigorous medieval sword game Moreška and the rich architectural heritage are only some of the attractions of Korcula. The town offers harmony of natural beauty and human endeavor as well as the typically Mediterranean laid back, relaxing pace of life.

DAY 3: KORCULA – HVAR ISLAND

DAY 4: HVAR ISLAND – SPLIT
Split, a 1700 year old city, the center of Dalmatia, today represents 17 centuries of architecture. At the core of the sprawling cityscape is the palace that Emperor Diocletian built for his golden years at the turn of the 4th century. What began as an imperial residence and fortified camp is today an intriguing warren of narrow cobblestone streets, where pre-Romanesque churches stand alongside Gothic chapels, history-filled museums,
galleries of contemporary arts and delicious-smelling restaurants which compete with bustling cafes for the attention of visitors.

DAY 5: SPLIT – VELA LUKA
On the western part of Korcula island is Vela Luka town, situated in a deep and large bay, surrounded by many coves, whose shores are covered with vineyards, olive trees, figs and pine trees that gently slope into the sea. Vela Luka is the second largest town on the Adriatic islands, a safe anchorage and harbour for boaters. Vela Luka is also famous for olive oil production where almost every inhabitant produces extra-virgin olive oil.

DAY 6: VELA LUKA – NP MLJET (POMENA)
Your next destination is the Island of Mljet edged by two deep bays called “lakes” after the narrow passages which are giving them access the open sea (Veliko and Malo jezero/ the Great Lake and the Small Lake). “Mljet” National Park covers the northwestern part of the island with an area of 5.375 Ha. This area was proclaimed the National Park on the 11th November 1960 and represents the first institutionalized attempt to protect an original eco-system in the Adriatic.
Optional excursion: Mljet national park (entrance fee to be paid directly on the spot) Overnight in Pomena on Mljet Island.
DAY 7: NP MLJET (POMENA) - DUBROVNIK
Known throughout the world as the Pearl of the Adriatic, the walled city of Dubrovnik built on a rock has preserved its cultural heritage. Palaces, monuments and white stone churches are in perfect harmony. Long considered as a rival to Venice, traces of its illustrious past are to be found throughout the city which is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
